    MonstrO - “Stallone”

It’s songs like this that make me feel incredibly pumped about being a radio promoter now.  Seriously, this is the perfect “hey guys, it’s September, let’s DO this!” song.  Come on fall, it’s on!

    The Sodality - “Last Survivor”

Since I always talk about writing songs and playing guitar but not that many people have really heard it, here’s this.

Some background: Back in 2007, I tried to record my first album.  I’d been playing in this band for a couple of years with my cousin and some friends of ours, and even though I knew it was coming apart, I spent a summer working on producing our record myself.  Although I crammed recording knowledge and spent huge amounts of time tracking us with the questionable preamps on my Korg DAW, I learned very quickly that I didn’t know enough about sound editing yet, and the project was ultimately shelved as the band dissolved.

BUT, the album’s lone instrumental (which I wanted to include because I felt like the record needed a big, slow 70s rock/90s melodeath-style interlude) came out alright even though it never got more than a rough mix.  So, here it is!  Lead and rhythm guitars are me, drums are my cousin.

I realized that I don’t have this archived anywhere on the Internet, so I might as well post it here.  Hopefully somebody else is into it.
